GS6 Survey - 132kV Overhead Lines

We have recently completed a GS6 survey for our site in the Norwich area. This related specifically to 132kV overhead electric lines, working in coordination with UK Power Networks.

Surveys at this voltage level are a critical part of safely planning construction activities in close proximity to high-voltage overhead infrastructure.

The GS6 assessment establishes safe working distances, identifies operational constraints, and confirms the controls required to manage risk when undertaking works beneath or near live conductors.

Completing this exercise at an early stage allows the findings to be properly integrated into site planning, construction methodology, and programme sequencing.

This helps ensure that works can progress safely and in accordance with industry guidance when operating near 132kV assets.
