Another Win and a Great Example of Growing Client Trust

We are a little late in sharing this one, but it is an appointment we are especially pleased about.

This project marked our first commission with a new client, supporting a strategic, consortium-led development where they were engaging a utilities consultant for the first time.

As this was their first experience using specialist utility consultancy support, the initial instruction was deliberately focused, asking Simple Utilities to review the ICP quotes that they had themselves procured.

The result:

✅ Scope of works improved significantly, reducing the possibility for variations further into the project

✅ ICP quotation costs reduced by over £80,000 following our review and negotiations

✅ Greater cost certainty for the client before contract award

Most importantly, the client was delighted with the outcome and that trust has already led to further appointments.

Our scope has been extended so that we are now supporting them on design management for this scheme, and we have also been appointed on a second project with a broader scope of works.
