Simple Utilities Appointed on Major Norfolk Residential Development

Simple Utilities has been appointed as Utility Infrastructure Consultant for a major residential development in Norfolk.

We are pleased to announce that Simple Utilities has been appointed as Utility Infrastructure Consultant for a major new residential development in the Norfolk area, for one of the UK's leading housebuilders.

The scheme will deliver 576 new houses along with a commercial unit, and we are excited to support the project team in coordinating and procuring the utility infrastructure required to bring the development to life.

Our scope of works will include utility diversions for the site and new vehicular entrance, including review of existing utility apparatus, applications for required diversions and C4 quotes, and organisation of PAS 128 surveys and trial holes.

We will also support a 33kV overhead line diversion, including the application to the DNO for a C4 quote, end-to-end project management of the diversion process, and organisation of a GS6 survey.

The scope also includes IP gas main management, including liaison with the incumbent gas network operator's Plant Protection Team, watching brief and trial hole management, and coordination of the required protection of the main.

For new utility connections, we will complete the competitive tender process across multiple ICPs, manage and coordinate the utility design process, and submit applications for fibre infrastructure and supplies.

The project will also include utility coordination drawings, including Service Strip Drawings, Combined Service Drawings, and Ducting Drawings.

These coordinated drawings play a key role in ensuring utilities are efficiently integrated alongside drainage and other underground infrastructure across the site.

We are looking forward to working closely with the client and wider project team to help value engineer the infrastructure, reduce programme risk, and deliver a coordinated utilities strategy from design through to construction.

Another great project for the Simple Utilities team and we are excited to get started.
